Career : Ilyas Ahmed Bilour started his political career by joining the National Awami Party and continued to be its member till it was banned in 1975. Later on he joined the ANP and presently holds the membership of the Provincial General Body of the ANP as well as that of its Central General Body.He was elected as a member of the Senate of Pakistan in March 1994 on a six- year term. He is member of the Senate Standing Committees on Commerce, Finance and Economic Affairs and Water and Power.
